We may be back after a short break…

Dear CurrentKids,

It is hard to believe, but we have been populating your inboxes for three years now! Over this time, we have pored through world events, new discoveries, and general knowledge, and have created content solely for you. We believe that there is not that much out there that simplifies complex content in a safe environment, and since we were creating this for our own children, we shared it with you.

Some of you have contributed to our efforts, and have shared your thoughts and voices, and we thank each one of you for that. You are wonderful writers and we are delighted to have been part of this journey with you. Over time we have added to our offering, with the website (currentkids.in), an email newsletter, a PDF newsletter that we share on our WhatsApp group, and the quizzes that you love so much. We have thoroughly enjoyed our journey with you. The time has come now for us to take a bit of a break while we regroup and work on our next version.

We hope that we have helped to shape your understanding of complicated relationships between different cultures in this world, about human behaviour, and about our symbiotic relationship with our planet that we must protect. New technologies and scientific discoveries are what excite us, and we have tried to share that interest and passion with you. These will become more essential in the world that you inherit as adults

Before we go, we have one request: Please do continue to stay abreast of world affairs. Knowledge is our greatest power, and when paired with tolerance, we will have the tools to gauge situations and temper our responses to create a world that will hopefully be more inclusive than it is for many right now.

Stay well and safe!

  1. Dear Current kids,

I have enjoyed your articles and loved sharing them with my daughter, age 12.

    I am missing your newsletter!

Wish you a wonderful break and I’m sure the recharge will yield super results for our kids. I would love to contribute to your letter periodically in its 2.0 version. Please do let me know if we can have a conversation around the same.

About Us

Welcome to our entertaining and empowering news source for kids with inquisitive minds! This is a digital space that keeps kids aged 8 and above (and your families!) connected to what’s happening in the world. We filter a wide variety of news, events, and interesting bits of trivia to develop short, relevant, unbiased content in creative formats. We give everyone something to relate to and get engaged with in short bytes of information with a snappy, chatty feel. We believe in encouraging curiosity, creativity and continued learning in our safe digital space.

Why is reading non-fiction important?

This helps curious minds to learn more about the outside world. It also enriches their vocabulary and their general knowledge. Simplified news helps children to express their opinions easily with their friends and family and gives them some perspective on complex issues. Our safe news website will give you parents a useful tool with which to navigate the digital world with your children.

We hope you enjoy our posts!
