Greta Thunberg is a 15 year old girl who lives and studies in Sweden. She is also someone who is passionate about humans changing our habits in order to stop climate change.

How do we know this? She has dedicated the last 6 years of her life to studying and understanding climate change. Ever since a school project introduced her to this theme, she has been singularly focused on raising awareness about this issue. So much so, that before the Swedish parliamentary elections in September 2018, she did not go to school and instead sat on the steps of the parliament, demanding that the government do more to save the environment. Nowadays, she goes to school for four days a week and spends one day a week on the steps.

She has changed her habits such that she does not eat meat. She bicycles or walks wherever she needs to get to, and has even convinced her parents to do the same. Her family grows their own vegetables, use solar batteries, and only buy things that are absolutely necessary.  People have found her actions so inspirational that she was invited to speak at the COP24 climate change meeting in Poland recently. Here is her speech. We bring this to you as an example of standing up for what you believe in, living as an example, and raising awareness about what you think might be important!
